Access to the world is only six minutes away from DFW International
Airport. Downtown Dallas, Fort Worth and Denton are less than thirty minutes
from Lakeside's main entrance at International Parkway and Lakeside Parkway
in Flower Mound, Texas.
International
Parkway (FM 2499) provides direct six-lane access between DFW Airport
and Lakeside and will soon be completed to Denton. The non-stop, highway-speed
overpass of State Highway 121 has more capacity than most Metroplex freeway
interchanges.
According
to Jeff Moseley, Executive Director for the Texas Department of Economic
Development, "International Parkway will be as significant to economic
development in Denton County as the Interstate Highway System has been
to the State of Texas."
Lakeside
Parkway, a six-lane divided thoroughfare, loops through the development
and intersects International Parkway in two locations. Three landscaped
modern roundabouts organize the flow and moderate the pace of cars throughout
the campus. East of International Parkway, Lakeside Parkway becomes a
four-lane divided boulevard that provides access to the rest of the Lakeside
Business District and to State Highway 121.
Flower
Mound and the cities on the map within ten miles are consistently ranked
in the top ten most desirable places to live in the Dallas/Fort Worth
area. In addition to exemplary schools, this area is surrounded by complimentary
amenities to Lakeside's planned 250,000 square feet of retail, restaurants
and entertainment. Choose from eleven championship golf courses within
ten miles and more than one hundred restaurants, three equestrian centers
and numerous shopping centers within five miles. Grapevine Mills and Bass
Pro Outdoor World, three miles away, provide over two million square feet
of specialty retail, restaurants and entertainment, including two ice
rinks and a thirty-screen movie theater. Four marinas and the Gaylord
Texan lie just minutes away (by car or boat).
Business
Friendly
Texas, Denton County, and Flower Mound are business-friendly,
making Lakeside an excellent place for professionals and businesses to
locate. Texas is a right-to-work state with no state income tax. The Dallas/Fort
Worth area is continually ranked in the country's top five for job creation,
with a skilled labor force and numerous universities nearby. Denton County
and Flower Mound have the most competitive tax rates in the Metroplex.
