Market data, residential real estate experts, and surveys indicate that empty nesters, knowledge workers, and seniors are hungry for housing options in the affluent suburbs near DFW Airport, especially in a lake-view location like Lakeside DFW.

Lakeside DFW will feature housing types that are in high demand but are not currently available in Flower Mound.
That’s good news for Flower Mound residents who hope to shop or dine at Lakeside DFW, especially since the location lacks the rooftops and visibility of competitive sites (e.g., Southlake Town Center).
The number of homes within a three-mile radius of Lakeside DFW is limited by the lake to the west, parkland to the south, and mostly warehouses to the east.
“We plan to start by building a small community of people with higher-than-average disposable income,” Archie added. “We expect our residents to pack a lot of punch for the shops and restaurants that choose to locate at Lakeside, especially since they will live within walking distance.”
(Note: The homes in Lakeside are projected to range from $400,000 to $1.5 million. High-rise condominium units will be priced similarly. Age-restricted senior apartments will rent for $1,000 to $3,000+ per month. Market rate apartments should rent in the same range.)
“We also hope they invite lots of their friends to come to Lakeside to dine with them.”

Lakeside DFW will feature housing types that are in high demand but are not currently available in Flower Mound.
“But creating a destination shopping area – one that will attract the kind of retailers Flower Mound residents want — will take some time.”
Over a number of years, Archie believes, the special nature of the development will fuel itself.
“We expect it to expand into a more regional magnet – a true destination shopping experience — as word of this special place spreads,” he said.
“Every mixed-use project needs a few uses to kick off development,” he said. “This market and our location dictate that we start with lake-view restaurants, housing options for empty nesters, knowledge workers, and seniors, plus retailers to serve southern Flower Mound.”
