(Note: 270 Flower Mounds residents completed the hand-written survey; only 49 answered question #2.)
Hand-written suggested amenities
Shopping, Residential
Absolutely no Wal-Mart
High end retail, fine dining
No high rises more than 10 stories
Brownstone, town homes, no single family, upscale retail
Retain trees along Heritage Lane
Movie theater, grocery store, restaurants
Splash park, movie theater, grocery store, needs to be family oriented, bike path, walk path over dam
Restaurants, cafe, sitting area lakeside, nice walkways alongside lake
Small traditional church building could be home to a small congregation and double as a wedding chapel
Keep the trees/the green
Athletic fitness club, yoga, studio, shops, Whole Foods, no multi-family about retail living
Resident friendly
Jobs, dining options, a place for people to gather
Some retail/dining with lake view would be nice
Access for seniors & citizens with special needs to live/work. Bring public to them since FM has no affordable public transportation for them
Adequate parking and road access
Sandy Beach
Boat Tours
Age Restricted Residential
Boardwalk/Ferry/Sunset Dinner Cruise
Let’s Duplicate The Shops at Legacy!
William Sonoma & Anthropologie & Fine Dining
Shopping – Not major retail but small business interests
No buildings taller than 3 stories, need big name retail & dining. Don’t do Parker Square – it sucks! Be more like Southlake Town Square. Buffer between development and residences (Surrounding Neighborhoods)
Get the Apple Store. Keep building heights 3 stories or less, Keep parking garages away from existing houses.
Legacy did not seem very “family friendly”, like the variety of restaurants. Very “dark” area and busy streets
Cafes overlooking the lake
Striking balance between food, shopping, and the arts with an Uptown Dallas night life feel would make this development special.
Shops, different restaurants
Please include a nice kitchen store such as William Sonoma and Pottery Barn with your stores
Be certain to keep a 4′ sidewalk in front of all patio dining
The Piped music on the outside sidewalks was very nice at legacy. Shops. Cookie shop.
Some grocery store would be good also like sprouts.
Senior living
No dental or doctor’s offices, have a small postal office if you do residential units
Central Market/Trader Joes/Quik Trip/Theater
Community Center, Senior Living with Elevators, Two monster suites in product
Boardwalk area like Disney World
Someplace to enjoy, relax, forget about yesterday, dogs a huge part of family – maybe a pet friendly coffee shop-eatery
Great shopping & good housing for empty-nesters
Residential of some type
Would like to see houses and town homes with lake views
It should have a neighborhood feel for those who live there, so they can come home and walk to whatever they want for the evening
Entertainment center, night clubs, hotels, Flower Mound needs a nightlife, too many residents go elsewhere
Bikers usually are riding to fast and in large groups
The area need a development very much like Legacy!
Restaurants like in Grapevine mixed with different shops and entertainment like a theater
Specialty dining and shopping, dinner theater
