The preliminary plan for Lakeside DFW was on display for public comment on Feb. 8, 9, and 11 at the Lakeside house on the southern end of the property.

Over 100 Flower Mound residents reviewed preliminary plans for Lakeside DFW on Feb. 8, 9, and 11. A resident (foreground in white cap) completes a survey while Dan Quinto (left) discusses an element of the plan.

Over 100 residents came to view the plan, to offer comments, to walk around the site, and to enjoy the lake views.

Members of the Lakeside DFW Team, including planner Dan Quinto, were on hand to discuss details of the plan, including questions about parking, traffic, and housing types.

In addition to the plan for the site, boards of photos gave residents a chance to visualize and comment on various styles of retail, housing, and parks.

Over 30 Flower Mound residents completed surveys to state their preferences.

Overwhelming, residents who attended the meetings chose Mediterranean as the style they preferred at Lakeside DFW.

While the developer had been pondering other options, Mediterranean appears to be an excellent choice to represent the lakefront development.

I was unable to attend the preview event due to illness. But i am very pleased with the Mediterranean style. It has a clean, elegant look.Being near the water will give it that wonderful european feeling.I am a senior, and hope there will be (affordable) housing with amenities for older Flower Mound residents.I look forward to watching the progress.
